Grateful Thanks

Volunteers braving the elements and the 'high tide'!

The 2023/2024 Frostbite season is now over and as always, thanks are due to the many willing volunteers who have made it possible.

Race Management

With Doug knowing that he would be unavailable for several races, stand in Race Officers were needed. Thanks to Lee Goodey and Dave Adams, recently qualified RYA Race Officers, who stepped up and ensured that all races were covered.

Rescue Boat

Viv Thompson who had helmed the rescue boat for several seasons was unavailable for the Spring Series and regular crew Peter Finch injured his shoulder mid series leaving us short. Thanks go to Simon Field, Simon Kennett and Tim Orton who shared the helming duties and Colin Smith who stepped in as crew. Without these volunteers racing would not have been possible.

Thanks then to all the volunteers, casual helpers and not forgetting the sailors who braved a variety of conditions throughout the winter. Thanks for your support, have a great summer season back at your Clubs and we look forward to seeing you back at the Lake in November.

Vice Commodore

Snowman Open Meeting

Boxing day saw 9 hardy sailors brave the elements to complete 2 laps of a typical Westbere course. Well done to all who took part and as usual thanks to all who helped with race management, rescue boa
